About Katie Jarvis, President and CEO

After graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Katie moved to New York City to pursue a career in the fashion industry, and accepted a position with Tommy Hilfiger, USA. As a Licensing Manager, Katie executed and managed the entire process of uniform distribution for global fragrance launch, oversaw design and approval process, managed budget and monitored delivery. She served as key liaison between Tommy Hilfiger USA and Estee Lauder Inc.

In 2001, Katie's passion for fashion led her to pursue a job with a global retail consulting firm. Opening doors for new opportunities, she accepted a position as a Marketing Events Manager. Working side by side with the firm's Marketing Director, Katie learned the ins and outs of coordinating an event. Katie gained immeasurable professional experience coordinating events, as she's managed over 60 events. She understands the importance of organization, and how it's the key to success of any event. This is when Katie began to create her own tools to help better her productivity and efficiency of the event planning process.

Inspired by her job and motivation to create organization in the tumultuous event planning industry, Katie was driven by this new concept of organization and wanted to share it with the world. Specifically, she became inspired by wedding planning, as many of her friends and family members were tying the knot, and she experienced their stress of endless details. It was then in 2005, she launched her rendition of organization perfection, One Stop Wedding Planner, an organizational tool that couples use to keep track of the details of their wedding. One Stop Wedding Planner is the only tool on the market today that enables couples to keep track of every wedding detail.

The success of One Stop Wedding Planner inspired Katie to launch BridePros.com, the website that connects/matches wedding vendors and wedding couples based on needs, budget and location.
